How It All Began

After leaving my teaching career the summer I had my first baby, I found myself wanting to be fully present for my growing family. I picked up an old hobby I had started back in college—turning vintage silverware into jewelry. It was just for me at first, something to keep my hands busy and my creative heart happy. But soon, I started sharing what I was making with others, and something incredible happened—people connected with the stories behind the pieces, just like I did.

Why I Do What I Do

Family means everything to me. I wanted to create a life that allowed me to spend time with my boys while still doing something I loved. And that’s exactly what Spoon Jewelry by Emily has become—a blend of my passion for creating meaningful, one-of-a-kind pieces and the joy of raising my children.

The heart behind my work is simple: I believe that something as ordinary as a vintage spoon can be transformed into something beautiful and unique. Every piece I create holds a story, and I love that each item connects me to people who appreciate the beauty in those small, meaningful details.

More Than Jewelry: My Love for Writing

In addition to making jewelry, I’ve recently started writing books. My first devotional, Grace Like Wildflowers, was published in the fall of 2024. And right now, I’m working on my second book! Writing gives me a way to share my heart and faith with others, and I hope that both my jewelry and my words bring light and encouragement to those who need it.

I’m a mom of two sweet boys, Dallas and Max, who keep me on my toes and remind me daily of what matters most.
My husband, Lucas, is a worship leader, and together, we’re raising our family with faith and love at the center.
