Such a Time as This

Such a Time as This

Today, I read through the book of Esther, and once again, I was amazed by how God uses ordinary women for the advancement of His kingdom. Esther was essentially a nobody, an orphaned Jewish girl living in exile, and yet, one day, she became a queen.
God didn't just make her queen for no reason; He placed her in a position of power for a purpose: so that He could use her to save His people, the Jews. Her story reminds me that while I may never wear a crown on my head, God’s plans for my life are just as significant. He has plans for me that are meaningful and unique to His kingdom.
What makes Esther remarkable is her unremarkability. She didn’t seek out a royal title or aspire to greatness; she simply trusted God’s timing and plans. The fact that she was in the right place at the right time to save her people wasn’t a coincidence—it was divine providence.
And here's the thing: it's no coincidence that you are where you are, in this very moment. Your life might not look as glamorous as Esther’s role as queen, but God still has a purpose for you. He is working in your life, positioning you to make a difference for His kingdom.
All we need is the courage of Esther—to stand up for what is right, to say with boldness, "If I perish, I perish," and to faithfully and humbly follow the call that God has placed on our lives.
Like Esther, we might feel unremarkable at times, but God delights in using the ordinary for His extraordinary purposes.
Remember, sister, you were created for such a time as this.
